Calumet XC competed in Moore this morning. Our elementary runners had to compete K-6 in one division so we are super proud of our young runners for taking on the challenge! Ryder Garrett place 3rd out of 57 runners.
Our JH runners did great too; Makya Muskett placed 12th out of 62 runners, James Havener placed 22nd out of 90 runners and Liam Cox came in 54/90.
Great day to be a Chieftain!
9/11 is a day to remember and honor those that lost their lives on that tragic day & a day to honor our current first responders and military who keep us safe each and every day.
On September 11th, as a community, Calumet will run 9.11 miles. Mrs. Renbarger, Shawn Davis, and the JH XC runners will split up the bulk of the run and the elementary runners will join in for the last 1.11 mile. They will cross the finish line between the two school buildings. It is hard to give an exact time frame of when they will finish, but we would estimate around 8:50AM.
Please wear your red, white, and blue & come up and cheer them across the finish line if you are able!
Plan to join us on September 10th for Breakfast and the Book Fair!
Calumet XC ran at Lomega today & had a lot of success! Our four JH runners placed in the top 5 of the JH division. James Havener took 1st, Bryson Fletcher came in 3rd, followed by Liam Cox (4th), and Makya Muskett took 5th & was the first female finisher!
Ryder Garrett took 1st in the 4th-6th division!
A lot of medals were earned and personal records set!
We are proud of them!

Our 2nd-4th Girls & 5th-6th Boys took 2nd place as a team. We had several top 10 finishers and are bringing home lots of medals!
The first meet is always a learning experience and they did great!
As a coach, the best part of the day was watching Gavin Little Elk, AJ Muskett, and MaKya Muskett run (after they had already completed their own run) with the younger ones as they were fighting the heat and the urge to walk.
We are so proud of them all!
